I am a Lecturer in Innovation Management for The University of Queensland Business School. You can see my academic profile here. ResearchThe broad issue that I am interested in is this: what is the impact of innovation on economic growth? I approach this from the perspective of evolutionary economics, which views the economy as an evolving complex system. Analytically, this leads to viewing the economy as a network, and using various forms of network analysis. My current research program is built around the application of complex network analysis to the study of innovation at the levels of the firm, region, sector and nation. This research program is also being extended through the work of the six RHD students that I am supervising. All of them are doing complex network research addressing various issues that are closely related to these research projects. Together with John Steen, we form the UQBS Network Research Group.
